Target Audience
Any Healthcare Professional performing Interventions requiring an Aseptic Technique
Course purpose:
To promote best practice in creating and maintaining a sterile field during procedural interventions requiring an Aseptic technique.
Aims:
The safe and competent performance of an aseptic technique with regard to the following generic standard criteria.
1.0 Communication and working with the patient and/or representative
2.0 Safety
3.0 Infection Prevention
4.0 Procedural competence
5.0 Team working
6.0 Theoretical knowledge
You will need a firm knowledge and understanding of this procedure based upon your employers protocols, guidelines and patient group directives and recognise their application in light of the learning outcomes identified below
